Sailboat Brokers on Lake Lanier Since the 1990s
Trusted boat broker serving Lake Lanier, Buford, and greater Atlanta, GA
Serving as sailboat brokers on Lake Lanier for nearly thirty years, Freshwater Yachts has helped sailors find the right boat and keep it running well. What started as a small, local operation has grown into a trusted sailboat brokerage serving Northeast Georgia and beyond — but we've kept the same hands-on, relationship-first approach that our customers have come to rely on.
Our brokers know Lake Lanier's marinas, sailing community, and the boats themselves inside and out. Whether you're buying your first daysailer or selling a well-loved cruiser, we treat every deal with the same care we'd want if it were our own boat. Our brokerage listings range from nearly new models to classic and antique sailboats.
How We Help Buyers and Sellers
Buying or selling through Freshwater Yachts means more than a listing online. We will walk you through the details that often get overlooked elsewhere, including financing options, marine surveys, transportation and rigging, and any repairs or upgrades that may be needed before a boat changes hands. If a question comes up that is outside our own expertise, we know the right people in the Lake Lanier boating community — and beyond — to point you in the right direction.
Thinking of selling your sailboat? As an experienced sailboat brokerage on Lake Lanier, we offer national and international exposure through YachtWorld, Boats.com, and our own network of buyers. Learn how to list your boat with us and put your vessel in front of serious buyers across Georgia and beyond.
Tohatsu Dealer and Yanmar Diesel Service
We're also a regional dealer for Tohatsu Outboard Motors, and provide expert service on Yanmar diesel engines and parts. That means beyond being trusted sailboat brokers on Lake Lanier, we're a resource for keeping your engine running right, whatever brand you have. Many of our customers come to us first for a boat and stay with us for years afterward for parts, service, and advice.
